Mit der Verkündung von einer Milliarde Angry Birds Downloads hat der finnische Spielehersteller Rovio auch begonnen, iOS-Hits für die Zukunft bekanntzugeben.
“Amazing Alex” wurde das zukünftige Werk getauft, welches auf dem kürzlich erworbenen Strategiespiel Casey’s Contraptions basiert und in ca. zwei Monaten im App Store landen wird.
Das Grundprinzip des Spiel basiert auf einem Jungen, der sich daran beglückt, mit Gegenständen zu experimentieren und die verschiedensten Dinge zu errichten wie Rovio’s CEO Mikael Hed einem finnischen TV-Sender mitteilte.
Ville Jeijari von Rovio äußerte sich bezüglich des iOS-Hits:
The “gameplay is a perfect fit in our arsenal with its approachable, fun and highly addictive take on the physics puzzler genre,” adding “We are currently reworking the title to enhance it, and getting ready to re-introduce it in a true ‘expect the unexpected’ Rovio style launch to an even larger audience.”
Nach dem Erwerb des “Tochterspiels” Casey’s Contraptions wurde dieses aus dem App Store entfernt. Der Inhalt des Spiels wird teilweise komplett in “Amazing Alex” übernommen.
